The city of St. Paul was presented with the exhibition Andy Warhol, Mr. America, starting on March 20, 2010. Culture and conflict in the United States of 60 years may be revised in the Pinacoteca Station , in 169 works of one of the most important and influential names in Pop Art

He broke the barrier between traditional art and business, converting consumption goods into masterpieces - and vice versa. Andy Warhol (1928-1987) - one of the great artists of the last century - the name of the greatest pop art, the U.S. has revised his work at the Station Art Gallery through 26 paintings, 58 prints, 39 photos, 44 movies and two facilities.

The exhibition Andy Warhol, Mr. America has pictures of divas Jacqueline Kennedy and Marilyn Monroe and self-portraits of Warhol, but also includes a pop and look less politically engaged. The dark paintings of Death and Disaster series focused on episodes of violence that marked the United States for 60 years. They are records of people who played anonymous buildings or died in car accidents. Or scenes with black men being attacked by police dogs at a time when the civil rights struggle in America was on fire.

It is also worth knowing the achievements of "The Andy Warhol Foundation" , established in 1987 whose mission is the advancement of visual arts, supporting the creation, presentation and documentation of contemporary visual art.
