The first Louis Vuitton store opens in Rome
On the evening of last Friday in January 2012, opened the first store of Louis Vuitton in Italy, with a celebration that was attended by no less than Cate Blanchett, Catherine Deneuve and her daughter Chiara Mastroianni, as special guests. Of course, we need not say they were all very elegant!
With three floors, located in the center of Rome, the store occupies the space of the city's first theater, built in 1907, the building was fully restored by the brand, following the design by architect Peter Marino, who has long collaborated with Vuitton.
The new shop called Louis Vuitton Maison Etoile Rome is the only one that includes a library, which is actually dedicated to Italian cinema, especially the iconic film studio in Rome, Cinecittà.
At the entrance there is a work of artist Georg Dokoupil, made with hundreds of feet of old movies and a high shelf, with several old Vuitton bags.
